Everyday in America, over 1,600 people die from cancer. It will soon become the number one killer. Currently 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will get cancer in the United States. And the rest of the world is quickly following suit. Only it's not broadcast on the nightly news or streamed live to YouTube. It's not violent and unexpected. It's not some horrific terrorist attack. It happens quietly in the hospices, hospitals, and homes across the country - quietly family members hold the hands of their loved ones and say goodbye, quietly cancer patients gasp for one last breath, quietly the cancer epidemic continues.
Our current system is broken. We need a different direction. We need a better way.

San Francisco author, Tony Dushane, wrote a semi-autobiographical tale about coming of age during the Reagan years as a Jehovah's Witness. His many humorous struggles with sexuality, discovering Punk Rock and Charles Bukowski led to a most tragic and liberating implosion. - Jeff Ross
